Information we collect
If you submit request details through this directory, we collect the contact details and plumbers service information you provide. We use server logs and first-party analytics to understand page performance, traffic patterns, and errors.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use three categories of storage in your browser:
- Essential. Required for core site behavior such as remembering your cookie choice and serving the correct directory. These are always active.
- Analytics. First-party, cookieless analytics that count page views and errors without identifying you across sites. Active by default because they do not set tracking cookies in your browser.
- Advertising. Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads, measure performance, limit repeated ads, and detect abuse. Off by default. Turned on only after you accept advertising cookies in the consent banner.
Advertising and personalization opt-out
Plumber Index uses Google-served advertising. You can control how Google personalizes the ads you see, including disabling personalized advertising entirely, at adssettings.google.com. Google's broader advertising privacy information is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You may also opt out of third-party advertising cookies from many ad networks at optout.aboutads.info (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).
How long we keep information
Submitted lead details are retained for up to 24 months so we can respond to corrections, deletion requests, and follow-up questions. Server logs and analytics records are retained for up to 18 months. Advertising cookies are controlled by Google and follow Google's retention policies.
How we use information
We use submitted information to store your request, respond where appropriate, improve directory pages, protect the site from spam, and meet legal or platform obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal contact details. If lead routing is added later, the page and form language will be updated so homeowners understand who may receive a request before submitting it. Advertising partners listed in our ads.txt file may receive standard advertising signals such as IP address and ad interactions per their own privacy policies.
Your rights in the EU, UK, and California
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to access, correct, port, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time, and to object to certain processing. Californians may also direct us not to "sell" or "share" their personal information under the CCPA / CPRA — we do not currently sell or share personal contact details, but you may still submit this request and we will honor it on a forward-looking basis. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact page.
